LEVEL UP: Maintaining Strong Coalitions
April 24th, 12pm - 3pm EST/ 9am - 12pm PT
If believing strength in numbers is how we win long-term change, then coalitions are a natural step that many organizations take.
Many organizations come together with a shared goal, but don't do the groundwork that supports them to have hard conversations, share power, make decisions, and build trust. As a result, conflict emerges and our coalitions weaken. There is another option–one where we prepare for and navigate conflict in ways that strengthen our coalitions.

In this workshop, we will share tools and practices that address the root causes of conflict in coalitions. Participants perform a coalition maintenance check and receive support responding to gaps and challenges identified during that check.
By the end of this workshop you will have
-
Understood root causes of conflict that comes up in coalitions
-
Assessed your coalition in regards to these root causes
-
Learned tools and practices that support groups to make decisions and disagree, build cultures of shared responsibility and cooperation, and navigate power dynamics and conflict
-
Identified concrete steps towards maintaining, reorganizing, and strengthening your coalition

This is an interactive online workshop. Be prepared to be on camera, practice and receive feedback. Having a computer with strong internet connection and the ability to connect to video will ensure the best experience.
