

WORKSHOP OFFERINGS 2023
Offerings are updated regularly. If you don't see something that meets your content or language needs, please reach out about customized workshops for your organization or to make requests for future offerings. Workshops are facilitated by a mix of our staff, coaches and training cohort members. All times are EST unless otherwise noted. Currently all workshop are being offered remotely and are conducted in English.
ASL or Spanish language interpretation is available upon request with at least two weeks notice.
Organizing Fundamentals Series
This series offers the fundamental skills that organizers need to be successful - skills that support you to bring new people into your organization, develop their leadership, create campaigns rooted in an understanding of power, and build coalitions that last. You can register for each workshop individually or for the full series. More details are below.

ORGANIZING CONVERSATIONS
Sept 6th
1pm- 4pm ET/ 10am- 1pm PT
Organizing is about listening to people, identifying what they care about, and moving them to action. This interactive workshop offers an outline for having a transformative organizing conversation and gives participants time for practice and feedback.

CAMPAIGN STRATEGY
Oct 3rd
12pm- 3pm ET/ 9am- 12pm PT
In order to develop campaigns that win we need to be rooted in an analysis of power and have clear goals. This three-hour workshop teaches participants the difference between strategy and tactics and helps organizers root their campaign plans in an assessment of power.

STARTING STRONG COALITIONS
Oct 18th
1pm- 4pm ET/ 10am- 1pm PT
This three-hour workshop explores the basic building blocks of strong coalitions–setting clear criteria and expectations, planning for conflict, and having honest conversations about power. Participants will practice a key part of starting a coalition and grapple with challenges faced when doing so.

Level Up Series
This series supports organizers to take their skills to the next level. This workshop series is for you if you have been an organizer for two or more years, have faced some challenges in carrying out your fundamental skills, and have tried a few things, learning what has worked and doesn't work in your organizing practice. Learn from experienced organizers about practices that can support you to overcome common organizing challenges. More details are below.

Getting Stuck in Your 1-1s? Feeling pressure to bypass concerns and rush to recruitment for your campaign? Struggling to respond to the issue that someone shared? This interactive workshop will take a deeper dive into how to identify what is really important to a person and their potential to become a leader with your organization.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Nov 15th
1pm - 4pm ET, 10am- 1pm PT
Long-term leadership development is hard work! This workshop focuses on the importance of revisiting, revising and recommitting to leadership development pathways as your leaders advance in their development. This interactive workshop will expand on our Leadership Development Basics and give you tools to sustain leaders over time.
MAINTAINING COALITIONS DESPITE CONFLICT

1pm - 4pm ET, 10am- 1pm PT
Conflict is natural within and across organizations. When navigated correctly, it can help us to strengthen bonds and practice how to hold power accountable. In this workshop, we will take a deeper dive into what it takes to maintain or re-organize strong coalitions by revisiting criteria for coalition development and conflict resolution practices.
